In Love With | Eggs
One egg is a nutritional bomb, makes you feel full, it’s cheap, it’s easy and so diverse to make on its own or when mixing it with other ingredients.
Back in the 70s it was the prime suspect of being one of the drivers of the cholesterol increase in the human body. Recent studies have shown that was fairly inaccurate, as the saturated fat is the prime suspect and not the cholesterol itself. However, if you do suffer from some kind of lipid related issue i.e. high cholesterol & triglycerides, its advised to reduce your animal product / saturated fat intake. For example, my nutritionist advised me to have up to 2 eggs per day.
Below are some reasons for embracing eating eggs & adding those into your nutritional lifestyle.
Eggs
⭐️ are highly nutritious
⭐️ are low in calories
⭐️ can contribute to raise the ratio of the good cholesterol over the not so good
⭐️ are easy to make
⭐️ can be premade ie i bake a dozen at the beginning of the week so I always have some ready made waiting for me in the fridge
⭐️ are very versatile ie can be made in so many different ways ie poached, baked, omelette, quiche, pancakes etc
⭐️ are a fairly cheap or a cheaper than others meal 🥘
⭐️ can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner or even as a snack
⭐️if concerned about cholesterol, skip the yolks
However, is the saturated fat content of an item that increases the cholesterol in the human body and not the items cholesterol content as that was thought back in the 70s
⭐️ Choose FREE RANGE / PASTURED eggs that contain up to 1/3 cholesterol of the other super market eggs.
