Our Principles

For a healthy & practical eating lifestyle

  • To eat healthily & practically

  • Healthily definition: something that if its eaten every day will not send you to the doctor and will not make you fat. Something that one would feel comfortable and happy to feed an innocent baby.

  • Practically definition: to cook efficiently i.e. not to spend too much time cooking or supervising what is cooked.

  • Cost is a key; cooking it’s all about home economics. It’s a standard and major fixed expense of the household. Cheapest is not always the best option and in the same way the most expensive is not either.

  • What is important is the quality of the ingredients: good ingredients do promise a better result.

  • Desserts are great if eaten in moderation i.e. a couple of times in a month and/or in special occasions.

  • Exercise is key. They say that food intake is 70% and exercise 30%, in order to be fit/healthy.

  • Food not to be wasted at all, if possible, i.e. portions to be made exact with a touch more. If leftovers exist, that can be transformed to something equally beautiful.

  • To continue evolving; tradition is nice, but change is needed to take us further.

  • Cooking from scratch can sometimes be bypassed by home cooked premade products or store purchased premade products to establish operational efficiency while keeping flavour and health at the top of the list.

  • We will be sharing our current knowledge on items such as nutrition from time to time. That comes from observation, experimentation, self knowledge and self reading. We do appreciate that we are not qualified nutrition experts or medical professionals; if that type of advise is needed please consult the latter.
