- Step 1: Cut the butter cookies
200 gr tea biscuits or butter cookies – used Leibniz
150 gr baby cookies – used Nestle Cerelac
- Step 2: Mix in the pan
125 gr butter – preferably French
100 gr caster sugar
200 gr condensed milk
50 gr good quality cocoa – used Green & Blacks
50 gr good quality drinking chocolate – used Green & Blacks
100 gr good quality chocolate with nuts – used Caramelised Pecans, Waffle & Canadian Maple Syrup from Whittaker’s for this version
3 eggs – every egg adds gooeyness; adjust according to your preference
60 ml Irish Cream – used Baileys
1/2 lemon zest
some vanilla essence
30 gr roasted hazelnuts – used Waitrose’s
Directions

You need a
– pan
– stirring wood utensil
– a scale
– a small bowl for the scale
– a chopping board
– a good kitchen knife
– a large bowl to mix all the ingredients
– a bowl to put into & form the shape of the cake - Step 1: Prepare The Cookies | 3 mins <
Chop the butter cookies into small pieces and place into a large bowl - Step 2: Prepare the Chocolate Mixture | ~ 5 mins
Mix the remaining ingredients with the order described in the pan
1. cut the butter in smaller pieces and add into into the pan, over a medium heat
2. then add the caster sugar and the condensed milk & mix well all together
3. then into a bowl, sieve the cocoa and the hot chocolate, and then add into the pan & mix well together
4. remove from the heat and let it cool for a bit.
5. in a bowl mix the 3 eggs and then add carefully into the pan & stir very quickly
6. add the flavour ingredients at the very end
– vanilla
– splash of dark rum or baileys
– zest of lemon
– hazelnuts or almonds - Step 3: Mix Step 1 & Step 2 Together | 1 min <
Mix everything together & place it to the final destination - Step 4: Enjoy!
You can dust it with some cocoa or hot chocolate prior serving.
