- STEP 1: PREPARE FIRSTLY THE DOUGH
5 cups of all purpose flour – used Al Baker Patent Flour
1-1 1/2 cup of milk or orange juice – full fat is better
1 cup of olive oil – or other vegetable oil
some ground mahlep – 1/2 teaspoon
some ground mastiha tears – 1/4 teaspoon
- STEP 2: THEN PREPARE THE FILLING
1 kg anari (Cypriot ricotta) or other type of ricotta cheese – salted & grinded
250 gr halloumi, grinded
250 gr dry anari, grinded
4 eggs
1 cup of raisins
some fresh mint, diced
some ground mahlep – 1/2 teaspoon
some ground mastiha tears – 1/4 teaspoon
some cinnamon – 1/2 teaspoon
some rosewater – 1/3 cup
- STEP 3: BUILT THE FLAOUNA
1/2 cup sesame seeds
