Tradition | wrapped with evolution
For this year i was creative shape wise and flavour wise: I have use a beautiful mould by Nordic Ware & have used a splash of Baileys & some Nutella in the middle. Result: we were in love.
Try this version of Vasilopitta that is fluffy, flavoursome and really easy to make.

Ingredients
- STEP 1: Mix well butter & sugar | 10 mins
250 gr unsalted butter, at room temperature – used D’Isigny ( love the French butters for their flavour and this one especially)
300 gr golden sugar – love using golden for its fragrance
- STEP 2: Add the eggs, one by one
3 eggs – in room temperature
- STEP 3: Add next
500 ml heavy cream – the fattier the better i.e. 35%
500 gr all purpose flour, sifted – used Al Baker
3 tsp BP
100 ml Baileys
- STEP 4: Treat it like a marble cake i.e. separate the mixture into 2
add 2 tsp of Nutella
splash of milk
splash of soya sauce
- STEP 5: Bake it for about 40-45 mins in a preheated oven @ 175
