Ingredients

  • STEP 1: MIX WELL FIRSTLY | 2-3 mins
  • 2.5 cups of sugar – I prefer golden sugar for its taste

  • 1 cup of butter ~ 200 gr – I prefer the French Butters for their flavour such as President

  • 4 eggs – I use free range and organic

  • STEP 2: THEN ADD & MIX | 1 mins <
  • 1 cup of Greek Yogurt

  • 30 to 60 ml of Mastiha Liqueur or 4-5 grinded Mastiha tears – used Skinos

  • zest of 1 orange

  • STEP 3: THEN ADD THE REMAINING & MIX | 1 mins <
  • 3 cups all purpose flour sifted – use Al Baker Patent Flour

  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp soda

  • STEP 4: DIVIDE THE MIXTURE IN 3 PARTS
  • add 1/2 a cup of cocoa in one part & a splash of milk or water

  • STEP 5: PUT IN A TRAY & BAKE
  • Pour the non cocoa part firstly

  • Then the cocoa part prep in STEP 4

  • Then the remaining non cocoa part on top

  • STEP 6: BAKE FOR 40 MINS @ 175 C
