It’s the most wonderful time of the year, they say...
We just love Christmas and one of the reasons for this is due to the high intensity of baking and cooking during this time of the year. I usually start baking my first batches of cookies before November goes and by Christmas I am already warmed up to bake and cook for more and more.
We do normally visit our families but this year is different. There are so many restrictions around the COVID situation and so much uncertain around this matter that we decide to stay in Abu Dhabi and invite some friends – and not more as we would do otherwise.
We do value our traditions and our cultural background and we do celebrate the Christmas Eve as Soteris is half Czech – this is how the do it in eastern Europe. We do celebrate on Christmas Day as well and of course the New Year eve and New Year.
