The aim is to reveal and share how we operate in our kitchen and inspire you to do something similar. Some recipes will be our own and some inspired by other authors or their modification as it naturally occurred throughout the years. Some recipes will be made from scratch or some others will be using our own pre-made products or products that we trust found in our local market.
By following us on instagram (this is the most up to date social media) our newest recipes/tips/philosophy will go straight on your phone/laptop screen. Please note that we are both full time working people and in parallel we raise our little one in a far away land and we are busy with many other activities or social responsibilities, if/when the COVID lifestyle allows. There will be sometimes a waiting time between the post in instagram and when the blog post will be uploaded and finalised. The pending items are tagged with as a ‘coming soon’ category.
By subscribing to our emailing list, our newest recipes/tips/philosophy will go straight into your inbox on monthly basis. Otherwise, you can filter below by category and you can search by #tags i.e. almond in the search bar at the top of the screen or by using the ingredients cloud found in the Recipes & More section.
The recipes will be described in a certain structure, in most of the cases (this is the ideal structure but unfortunately that is labour intensive – this is currently under review/change as of May 2021)
Baking items are more technical by default than other items, therefore those might have a longer and more detailed description when that will be compared to other items.
Prices can differ by region; the difference can be from negligible to significant. These to be used as a proxy/benchmark i.e to get a gauge if a recipe is more expensive than another. We are using the UAE average prices as a guidance i.e. prices seen in Carrefour. These are then converted into GBP, EUR & USD. Exchange rate used as at Sep 2020.
Servings/portions are relative to a person. We usually cook generously for 2 and a half.
Variations aim to inspire you and encourage you to be creative and experimental.
Nutritional Info can differ from product to product; the difference can be from negligible to significant. These to be used as a proxy/benchmark i.e to get a gauge if a recipe is higher in calories or certain nutrients.
